Low cycle fatigue tests
Low cycle fatigue tests in bending or tension mode can be performed in air up to the maximum temperature of 1100°C on the universal testing machine type Shimadzu AGC-10/TC with a maximum load of 100 kN and triangular shape. (See also High Cycle Fatigue Facility.)

High and low cycle fatigue facility
High cycle fatigue tests in tension mode can be performed in air at temperatures ranging from ambient to 1300 °C. This facility applies the desired axial tensile stress to the specimens hydraulically. The computer controlled hydraulic system can be operated at constant load or load cycles up to 70 kN.
Tests are typically carried out by unidirectional load cycles of selectable shapes (preferably sinusoidal) with frequencies up to 70 Hz. By varying the load amplitude S/N-curves can be derived. The device is also used to perform low cycle fatigue, enabling sinusoidal shape.
